Swami Vivekananda's Maha Samadhi 4th July
This is a very interesting link on the few days before the demise of probably one fo the greatest men to have walked on this earth. It is pretty lengthy to actually post the text on blog but I have copied the link. It speaks about how he actually had a premonition about the event and actually prepared for it. Some excerpts The Swami passed away at the age of thirty-nine years, five months and twenty-four days, thus fulfilling a prophecy which was frequently on his lips, “I shall never live to see forty.” On the fateful day, The Swami was saying to himself, “ If there were another Vivekananda, he would have understood what Vivekananda has done! And yet, how many Vivekanandas shall be born in time!!”http://www.uttishthata.org/life-teachings/vivekananda%E2%80%99s-maha-samadhi/ | | 6:16 pm |
A nice nostalgic song on mysore I am sure some of us, mysore lovers like me especially :-) , would enjoy this song... and walk down memory lane..I enjoyed this a lot...
we cannot have such a song for bangalore at all...anything close to this.....
Being born & brought up at Bangalore and having stayed only 4 years in Mysore, what fascinates me is that I feel such a strong connection to mysore and not so much to bangalore at all, which I am not able to understand. Well it has a lot of "other" factors making it a very interesting and an important place personally but I am not sure whether it is the only thing.

With John Chambers
This is my second attempt on the same topic, will give up if this does not work. I wrote a long text on the meeting and uploaded the picture and then clicked on post and there it goes, error and I lost everything. Could not get the data back... Anyways, yesterday had a Birthday breakfast meeting with John Chambers. A really charismatic and a highly competent leader. I always wanted to meet him especially after joining Cisco. He is a great orator and ofcourse an excellent salesman. After the session, there I was running behind him with many others to take a photo along with him :-) ... I was not the only one so I did not feel that bad acting like a kid.... So here goes the much awaited photo :-) Current Mood: accomplished | | Tuesday, June 12th, 2007 | | 12:39 pm |
Events Vs People
Having lived out for quite some time now, I keep wondering whether I get disturbed or annoyed more with events (not going right) or more with adjusting with people. And I am beginning to believe its lot easier with events than with people.... Which leads to the conclusion that tolerance is way above patience :-) .... and I am not even at patience right now :-( ... and coming to think of it a little deeper, it is probably the predictability of events which make it easier to manage than the unpredictability of people.
